How can I pay my rent?

When is the building open?

The front door is locked at all times. The front entrance doors to the building are NOT to be hooked open, made accessible or insecure in any way by tenants, their clients, or visitors. Tenant and guest access is via keycard or cell phone application.

 

How do I operate the elevator?

There is currently an elevator operator for the building, on most days. If elevator use cannot be avoided, it should be scheduled with at least 24 hours notice.

Elevator hours are posted on the first floor, and we do our best to adhere to them. Buzz once if you are on the first floor, twice if on the second floor, three times if you’re on the third floor, and so on.

 

How do I submit a maintenance request?

Email info@206glen.com, stop by the office on the third floor, or call (518) 920-2561 and leave a message.

 

Who is responsible for turning off the lights?

If you leave after business hours, please turn off the hall and bathroom lights on your floor and also on the lower floors, if they are unoccupied.

 

What do I do with my trash?

You are certainly free to take your trash with you when you leave. Otherwise, leave trash by your door on weekdays only, by noon on Friday. Weekly maximum: 1 large or 2 small tightly closed bags (nothing heavy), and 2 flattened cardboard boxes.

 

My office feels too cold or hot. What should I do?

Do not touch radiator valves as it can mess up the distribution of heat for the rest of the tenants! Please contact us by calling (518) 920-2561 or emailing info@206glen.com to adjust heat/radiators. Space heaters are only allowed with prior written consent of landlord.

 

Is smoking allowed in the building?

As per NYS law, there is no smoking allowed anywhere inside of the building.

 

Can I live in my office?

No, there is not to be overnight occupancy or living in the building. The building must be vacated between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

 

Can I keep items in the hall or common area?

No, common areas (lobbies, bathrooms, fire escapes, back porch and yard) must be kept free of Tenants’ personal property and trash, except as allowed for trash pickup. Quality doormats of compatible color and design are allowed. Tenant shall not store any toxic or environmentally hazardous materials on the premises. Combustible materials and rags must be stored in properly sealed containers at all times.

 

I rode my bike to the office. Where should I keep it?

Bikes should not be left in hallways as this may cause a fire hazard. Please bring bikes into your rented space.

 

Can I paint or decorate my space?

Nails and other invasive hangers are prohibited. Approved wall hangers include 3M Command Strips. Do not remove wall hangers when vacating or at any time. Do not use tape on woodwork or walls. Tenants are not allowed to paint their space. If a tenant wishes to have their space a different color, other than the color of our lobbies, they shall be charged for Landlord‘s painting expenses. Tenant must also post a nonrefundable repainting deposit. Said deposit will be used to repaint unit the originally approved house color upon termination of lease and vacating of unit.

 

Can I hang up a sign for my business?

All door glass lettering must receive Landlord’s prior written consent. Lettering must be removed by tenant upon vacating. All outdoor signage, and window signs or lettering may not be done without Landlord’s prior written consent and must comply with all city codes. Lettering must be removed by tenant upon vacating.

 

Can I change the locks on my unit?

Tenant shall not make any lock changes or alterations without Landlord’s prior written consent. Tenant shall not duplicate keys. We will provide you with any additional keys needed.
